PLACEMENT ISN'T MAGIC - IT'S MOVEMENT!
How does the sound get from our vocal folds to that perfect spot between the eyes? Or out of the crown of the head? Or into the mask? We're going to go behind-the-scenes in a unique movement-based workshop!
Placement is a concept that many use, and just as many don’t use or don’t believe is possible. Science or functional fiction, these sensations are very real to many singers.
In this experiential workshop, we will reverse-engineer the process of placement and uncover movements that influence this phenomenon of sympathetic resonance - said more simply, how we direct our voice to vibrate certain bones can be enhanced through simple movements.
Though it may not be in the foreground when exploring vibratory feelings on the face or in the head, behind the phenomenon is an internal landscape full of perceptable shifts that lead to, and can influence the sensations that so many rely on in their singing and use as a reference for efficiency.
This workshop will have you feeling freer than free! It will give your breath a break as we optimize your resonance system and give the body what it loves and craves - the path of least resistance.
